Supporting Families (formerly Early Help)

Early help means providing support as soon as a problem emerges, at any point in a child’s life, from the foundation years through to teenage years.

Here at St George’s Catholic Primary School, we understand just how complicated family life can be. From time to time there may be situations where you need extra help and support.

If things aren’t right at home, please come and talk to us. We have what we call an Offer of Early Help. There are many ways in which we can help.

At St George's, Miss Comer is a Trauma Informed Practitioner and Mrs Palfreyman is the trained Mental Health First Aider. They both work with children of all ages in school to offer support to children affected by issues such as bereavement, separation anxiety and family breakdown.

We currently have pupil places, for this academic year, in Reception, Year 1, Year 4 and Year 5. Please phone school on 01905 25841 and ask to speak to either Mrs Phillips or Mrs Molloy.
